The REVISED DATES for the Newbridge Arts Trail will be 26th & 27th September 2020 - Hopefully! All dates and events below have had to be postponed until further notice. Once we have any idea whether we can proceed with the trail on these dates we will let everyone know by email. Meanwhile we are working hard to expand this website to create a VIRTUAL ART TRAIL.

"My name is Rachel Barrie and I am a Casting AP at Love Productions, the company behind “The Great Pottery Throw Down”. We are now accepting applications for Series 4 and hoping to tap into the UK's thriving community of home potters by asking studios, pottery groups and festivals etc. if they would be so kind as to spread the word amongst their members. I know you exhibit some brilliant home potter at Arts Trail each year and consequently wondered if you would be open to sharing the below link with those on your members/mailing list or social media pages? The only criteria is that the applicant should be a home potter and over the age of 18. I have attached the flyer and link to the application below. With regard to Covid-19, please rest assured that we are closely observing government guidelines, and will only be filming the next series after the Covid-19 situation has improved and it is safe to do so. In applying for the series, we will not be asking potential potters or any of our team to travel. We are able to work safely from home and as such are currently focusing on processing applications for Series 4. “THE GREAT POTTERY THROW DOWN” is returning for a 4th series and applications are now open. We hope that it will be safe to film later in the year as planned and consequently are still encouraging applications. Welcome to the arts trail! The planning, publicity, web and artwork are carried out by a committee of volunteer artists and makers. If you would like to volunteer or can offer your expertise, please get in touch! Anthony Ward is the chair and you can reach him here: email@example.com
The success of the Newbridge Arts Trail depends on the participation of you, the artist. This is a community event and your help is needed, appreciated and very, very welcome.
There are several open meetings which all participants are asked to attend, to share your ideas and trail experience, meet the other artists and collect flyers and brochures.
You are expected to open for both days and all the hours. At group venues artists and makers should be present to talk about their work. This is only fair as visitors may have come especially to meet with you.
We produce a gorgeous guide and map to the trail and everyone is expected to help distribute this locally.
Open Meetings 2020
All meetings will be at 8e Chelsea Road.
1. First Open Meeting: Thursday 6th February at 6.30pm Come and say hello to the committee and other artists, talk about last year, this year, venues, volunteer etc
2. Second Open Meeting: Thursday 5th March at 7.30pm Make your submission, send in your images, pay your fees - details on Submit page
3. Final Open Meeting: Thursday 23rd April at 7.30pm Collect your brochures and posters to distribute - you'll be given an area to leaflet.
4. Pre-NAT drinks: Friday 8th May from 7.00pm A chance to relax together before the fun begins.
Application Deadline: 15th Feb 20
Submission Deadline: 5th Mar 20 All fees must be paid to the Treasurer. All images and info for the flyer must be submitted by this date. Late entries will not be considered
Submission: Important : Every Trail participant, new and old, needs to fill in the new Submission form. Click here for the Submission form. This saves the committee hours of work and is the main source of info for the flyers.
Get on the Website/On the Map/ In the Flyer: Once you've filled the form, sent your images and paid your fees we will build your very own profile page.
Every venue will be on the map and in the flyer if you submit this information by the print deadline.
Please be aware that images of your work may be used to publicise the trail in print and online. If you object to the use of your images, please let us know. Unfortunately, watermarked images cannot be used in publicity for the trail.
