He said it was great to have such a good turn out with a mixture of familiar and new faces. The purpose of the meeting was to share information about the Trail, but also a good opportunity for people to meet and talk.
MT invited everyone to introduce themselves and share their primary medium.
MT said he would take on the management of the website and was very pleased to advise that the Flyer would be managed by Myrddin Wooding. MT confirmed the website had been updated and a 'submission' form link could be found on the 'News' page. A submission had been received from Tim Hunt which showed the process worked. MT said a submission form to participate must be sent in by the end of January.
MT stated there are basically three types of venue, home venue, shared home venue and group venue (BAS gallery, Fairfield House, Frontier Frames, Methodist Church Hall & Newbridge Primary School). To support the footfall to home and shared home venues, the committee did not want to agree to an additional group venue at this time. MT asked the committee members to provide an update.
Publicity: AH said the first article to appear will be in 'What's on in Weston & Newbridge' Mar-Jun issue. She had also been asked to give a short talk about the Trail at 'What's On Goes Live' meeting at Lansdown Cricket Club at 7.30pm on 6 Feb, (Anyone is welcome to attend). Articles and Trail listings were planned for other publications and websites.
Finance and Sponsorship: AW said the Trail bank account was £940 in credit. Participation Fees this year will remain at £20 per person. 11 x sponsors were being sought to advertise on the flyer for £50 per advert.
Twitter/Instagram/Flyers: LW said Twitter and Instagram are accessible from the website pages. The Trail would not support Facebook and Pinterest this year as these platforms were not generally being used. 10,000 Flyers will be printed this year and participating artists would be expected to help with the distribution.

MT invited everyone to introduce themselves and share their primary medium. MT said he was pleased to confirm he had received submission forms from 40 artists wanting to participate. This reflected well against the previous year. He said the website was up to date with 22 pages completed. Images are need from the remaining 18 artists. The deadline for images is 28 Feb. MT said if artists want to keep the same images as last year to confirm by email but it would be helpful if new images could be sent in asap. Images should be emailed to email@example.com MT confirmed he would liaise closely with Myrddin Wooding who was working on the flyer. Committee Update AH said she had attended the 'What's On Goes Live' meeting at Lansdown Cricket Club and had the opportunity to promote the Trail. She said Bath Magazine, Bath Life and the Evening Chronicle will publish features and it was opportunity to show images. Any images published need to be 300dpi. There was a suggestion that AW consider the publication 'Week In', which covers Keynsham and South Gloucestershire. AW advised that 25 participants have already paid and several more at tonight's meeting. 11 sponsors had been identified and approached. 2 sponsors have already paid in full. LW said flyer distribution would be organised in time for the next meeting. She said the NAT Twitter and Instagram pages are live and the plan was to use the platforms actively from the end of the month. It will be great if everyone can 'like' items that are posted and share with friends etc. Facebook would no longer be supported as very limited usage in previous years. Venue Update Since the meeting all participants have been allocated a venue: Methodist Church Hall x 6, Bath Artist Studios x 3, Newbridge School x 3, Frontier Frames x 2, Fairfield House x 2, 165 Newbridge Hill x 2, 9 Evelyn Road x 2, 81 Newbridge Road x 2, 9 St John Road x 2, 'Blenheim' May Lane x 2 MT asked for participants / venues that planned to serve refreshments or hold demonstrations/workshops to confirm via email so that a suitable icon can be added to the flyer. It would also be helpful to know which venues can accept card payments. Demos confirmed at Bath Mats (Glenna Gillingham), Polly Gough & Tim Edwardes, Newbridge School, Peter Merchant, Janice King and Janette Massey.
